Expository  Text


Today was the last day that I studied A Discourse Approach in Reading subject. It looked frightened. Today  I learned Expository text which was a form of writing that was use to give information, explain, and describe. Expository writing is clear, concise, and to the point.For example, a paragraph organized into a sequence states its main idea in the topic sentense,and to support the main idea the author sets out details in a specific order that carries the correct meaning of the text. Key or cue words include first,second,third, etc.,plus next,then,finally,last,after that, etc. After that, I did exercise with my friends between waiting for teacher come to teacher. It was really difficult about exercise text. Then, teacher came to classroom. A Teacher ,friends,and me did exercise together. It was really fun because Teacher would love to tell the answer before the students. She often asked students what was she answer or students answers. It was so joked. Finally, a teacher gave me to do blogger website and read a textbook for final exams in the near future. It was a nice day for me.

Problem and Solution






Today I went to university early in the morning. Today I studied about Problem and Solution text. It made me know about Problem and Solution that is a pattern of organization where information in a passage is expressed as a problem and something that was,can be, or should be done to remedy this issue (solution)
In my views, I think It means that there is a complication which is the problem and the you resolve or solve it which is the solution. Then, my friends were presenting about procedure next to the last week ago.and finally my teacher assigned homework to me and my friends so I enjoyed very much for learning today.

This is bit of knowledge about Problem and solution.

Procedure Presentations

Today my friends and I had the presentation about Procedure or how to do or make something done. Today I took some of menu as well as you know, it is called Roasted Chilli Paste or Nam Prik Phao. 


First of all, I recommended about Nam Prik Phao  is a common ingredient used in Thai cooking. It is spicy and sweet, with rich flavors of roasted vegetables and is often enriched with shrimp. I’ve used it in recipes on this site, and it is so common that you might be able to easily find in a jar outside of Thailand.


Then, my friend and I described about ingredients for example;


20 long dried chilies.


6  tablesspoon dried shrimp.

1/2  cup shallots (about 10 small shallots). 


1/2 cup garlic (about 10 medium cloves).




7-8 Thin slices dried sand ginger.



4  tablespoon of gapi (fermented shrimp paste).


4  tablespoon of fish sauce.



1/2 cup of tamarind paste.



   2 tablespoon of palm sugar.


    neutral taste oil for frying.



And then, my friend and I described about procedure or you could say method or step. Method had step by step as follows;


1.de-seed dry chilies
 


2. soak in warm water until soft .


3.strain 



4.soak the dried shrimp in lukewarm water and clean thoroughly and strain.
   


5.peel the shallots and garlic and remove any imperfections. wash clean and dry.


6. allow to sundry for few hours or dry in a low heat oven (50°C or 120°F) to reduce moist content .



7.in a frying pan, fry separately each of the ingredient; the dry chilies, shallots, garlic, sand ginger, dry shrimp and the fermented shrimp paste .


          


8.remove access oil by placing the fried ingredients on pepper towel .


9.in a mortar and pestle pound sand ginger to powder.



10.add dry shrimp and pound fine, set the mixture aside.



11.in a mortar and pestle pound dry chilies to fine paste.


  


12.add garlic and shallots and pound until it become a fine paste.


 


13.add fermented shrimp paste and mix well together.



14.add the dry shrimp and sand ginger mixture.



15.season with fish sauce.



16.add palm sugar and tamarind paste.



17.mix everything together.



18.fry the mixture with 1/2 cup neutral flavor oil over medium heat until fragrant and the color deepens. 



19.store in a well sealed container with a bit of oil on top.


20.served with vegetables


I think that this menu was interesting . Ingredients you could find easily. It wasn't over difficult if you wanted to cook it.

Exempification

     

Today I went to my university early in the morning. I learned Exemplification texts. It let me know adding more information to explain,persuade,define,or illustrate a general idea. Likewise, exemplification provided solid support and strong evidence to prove the writer's main statement. Appropriate examples also created interest in a writing assignment. and I knew about 5W 1H it was really important information to eleborate on the main idea of a paragraph or essay. Exempification texts could be organized chronologically, spatially, from the simple to complex, with the emphatic order which moved from the first example to the one that was most important. After that ,teacher assigned my friends and I to do homework about Examplification texts.And Finally,my friends were presenting about procedure next to the last week ago.So I enjoyed very much for learning today.

Definition and Classification texts



           Today I went to my university. I ran behind a teacher to the classroom because I was afraid to attend class late. until a teacher joked with me, So today I learned about Definition and Classification texts. The Content learning today It made me understand Definition and Classification more and more.In textbooks. you were sure to meet unfamiliar technical words and their definitions and also found that writer used classification to divide general concepts into a number of different types.Well I thought, it let you know and understand texts and also would help your academic reading better than as before. Then, I did exercise skill practices in this texts. I had fun because It wasn't too difficult. I could do it. After that ,teacher assigned my friends and I to do homework about this texts.And Finally,my friends were presenting about procedure next to the last week ago. I had the opportunity to taste some food called Sushi that my friends made in the classroom. It was really delicious. So I enjoyed very much for the wonderful today.

Teacher's day

 Cause and Effect

Today I went to my university in the early morning. So, today I learned about Cause and Effect text. lt let me know about many things in this text.The text told me about  Cause and Effect is used to show how the facts or concepts result due to facts, events or concept. I had the opportunity to comment about The Titanic which is a tragedy story. I knew about many factors that make the ship was sunken. And I did the exercises with teacher such as the skills practice and the Effects of Stress. Finally, teacher assigned homework to me to do about a spider map  of Effect and Cause. And then, my friends were presenting about procedure next to the last week ago. Finally, it was a nice day for me.


This is a bit of knowledge about Cause and effect.

Everything in life has a cause and an effect. You study for a test you get a good grade. You forget your umbrella when it rains, you get wet. You break a rule you have a consequence.



Kids cause, deal with, and are involved in cause and effect situations every day, all day long; however, they may not know that they are dealing with cause and effect.

It is important for students to know and understand what cause and effect situations are. They should be able to identify an event that is responsible for the cause that resulted in an effect. Identifying these three things can help create analytical thinkers and minds that can work through complex problems. It will also help students socially; they will understand and be more willing to accept the consequences for their actions –whether good or bad. 


Key words to help find cause and effect statements: so, because, therefore, since, if, then, so that, without, cause, effect, how, explain.

These words are key because they will help students to identify cause and effect questions and statements as well as be able to write sentences that show the cause and effect relationship.


There can be many causes and effects that are the result of one event, for example:

For example, take David Goes to School by David Shannon. Here are some example questions that use the question stems above.

Using a multi-flow map you can quickly and easily show the event, cause and effect connections. For this story, the event is that David goes to school; the events that connect to this are all the things that happen because David is at school.

So now that you are armed and ready, you and your students should have lots of fun finding those cause and effect connections. Don't forget to look at and recognize those connections...everywhere!
